We make every order to your approved specifications and coordinate shipping after production is complete. The information below explains how lead times and delivery estimates work, how shipping charges are confirmed, and how to report an issue with a delivery.
1. Production and Dispatch
Production begins after we receive the required payment, final proof approval, and all usable order information. Your estimated production time will be shared in your quote or order confirmation and may vary with the box style, quantity, material, printing, finishes, and current production capacity.
Shipping time is separate from production time. We will arrange dispatch when the order has completed production and passed our quality checks.
2. Delivery Estimates
Delivery dates are estimates unless Make Custom Boxes expressly confirms a guaranteed date in writing. The estimate shown in a quote or order update starts after dispatch and depends on the delivery location, service level, carrier network, shipment size, and any customs processing.
If your order is needed for a launch, event, or other fixed deadline, tell us before approving the order so we can review the schedule and available shipping options.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping charges are calculated from the finished shipment's weight and dimensions, delivery address, service level, and any special handling requirements. Your quote or invoice will state whether shipping is included or charged separately.
Additional charges caused by an incorrect address, refused delivery, re-delivery, storage, remote-area service, liftgate service, or other destination requirements may be billed separately when applicable.
4. Delivery Address and Receiving
Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address, contact name, telephone number, business hours, and any receiving restrictions before dispatch. Tell us in advance if the location requires an appointment, loading dock, liftgate, inside delivery, limited-access service, or another special arrangement.
Someone authorized to receive and inspect the shipment should be available at delivery. A carrier's proof of delivery may be used as evidence that the shipment reached the address provided with the order.
5. Tracking and Split Shipments
When tracking information is available, we will send it to the contact associated with the order. Large or multi-part orders may travel in more than one carton, pallet, vehicle, or shipment and can arrive at different times.
Tracking scans are supplied by the carrier and may take time to update after collection. Contact us if the shipment has not moved for an unusual period or if part of a split shipment appears to be missing.
6. International Delivery
International shipments may be subject to customs review, duties, taxes, brokerage charges, import permits, or destination-country restrictions. Unless your quote states otherwise, the recipient is responsible for import clearance and destination charges.
Customs decisions and clearance times are outside our control. You are responsible for confirming that the packaging and supplied artwork may be lawfully imported and used in the destination market.
7. Delays Outside Our Control
Weather, customs inspections, carrier disruption, labor action, supply interruption, natural disasters, public emergencies, incorrect delivery information, and other circumstances outside our reasonable control can affect dispatch or delivery. We will share material updates available to us and help coordinate with the carrier, but these events do not create a guaranteed delivery obligation.
8. Damage, Shortage, or Delivery Problems
Inspect the shipment and outer packaging as soon as it arrives. If damage or a shortage is visible, note it on the carrier's delivery record before signing when possible, keep the original packaging, and take clear photographs.
Report a delivery issue promptly through our Contact page or by emailing info@makecustomboxes.com. Include your order number, tracking number, photographs, and the quantity affected. Do not discard the goods or return a shipment without written instructions from us.
9. Questions About Your Shipment
For help with an address update, delivery estimate, tracking status, or receiving requirement, contact us through our Contact page or email info@makecustomboxes.com. Please include your quote or order number so we can locate the shipment quickly.
